An in-app
point
You earn it by using the app and you spend it inside the app. That is the entire definition — there is nothing behind it, and nothing more to it.
It is our way of thanking you for being here, and of giving you a reason to come back tomorrow. Every message you send and every sentence you correct is what keeps this place alive. The token is what that adds up to. Everyone starts with 250.

Up to 200 messages a day pay, and up to 60 from any single partner — it takes four people to reach the ceiling. Echo pays for 5 reviews a day. Corrections have no cap — teaching is weighted higher than talking, on purpose.
Streak bonus
Days in a row, and the tokens that land the day your streak reaches them — paid for a day you actually practised, not just opened the app.
The daily pool
On top of what you score directly, a fixed pool is shared out at the end of every day among everyone who was active, in proportion to how active they were. Your share depends on everyone else’s day as well as your own — and nobody can take more than 5% of it, 250 tokens.
It lands at 04:00 UTC the next morning. Accounts younger than 24 hours do not share in it.

Up to 5,000 for each person you invite. They earn 750 at the same moment, so they start on 1,000. Nothing is paid for signing up alone, and the person who pays for a plan gets no tokens for paying.
Hourly gift
One free gift every hour in the app’s store. It holds anything from nothing up to 250 tokens — about 11 on average, and about a third are empty.
Gift tokens go to your balance and your all-time total, never to the weekly, monthly or yearly boards. Nothing is bought or staked: it is a gift, not a game of chance.
These are the current values. The economy is young, and the numbers can change as we learn how it behaves with real activity.

That is the complete list, and it is complete on purpose.
Streak freeze
200Rescues a day you missed, so one bad day doesn’t undo months of practice. You can bank two at a time — enough to cover real life, not enough to make the streak meaningless.
Fill in a missed day
600Fills one empty square on your activity map, within the last 14 days. Two a month, and never today — today is earned. Dearer than a freeze on purpose: a freeze is bought before the day, this one after it.

Slate through to Midnight, and Beginner through to Legend. One more frame, Aurora, cannot be saved up for: it costs 50,000 and needs a 365-day streak with 5,000 corrections written.

Three packs of twelve stickers to send in a chat: one for what you say in a conversation, one for the practice itself, and one in 8-bit pixel art. Pixel costs more because we drew all twelve of it; no pack is a rung above another, so buy any one first.
No lettering on any of them. The app is read in eight languages.

And it cannot unlock Pro. That one is deliberate: if tokens could buy a paid feature, farming tokens would become a substitute for subscribing — and the subscription is what pays for the app.
04 — Returning

back?
Your balance carries over. Nothing on LangX was ever bought or sold — what looked like a purchase log was really the daily payout being calculated — so every token in your balance was earned, and there is no reason not to honour it.
Balances are divided by 100 on the way in, and we would rather say that plainly than let you find it out afterwards. Old balances run as high as 2.28 million, while a very active day now is about 700 tokens. Credited one-for-one, the largest balance would sit roughly nine years ahead of anyone new and the all-time board would never move again. Divided, it starts about a month ahead — a real head start, and one someone else can still close.
You also get a welcome-back bonus of 250, and the streak you had is frozen rather than lost: you can spend tokens to bring it back. Sign in with the same email address you used before — here is how.
05 — Questions
Straight answers
Is LangX Token a cryptocurrency?
No. It is not on a blockchain, there is no contract and no wallet address, and it is not listed on any exchange. It is a number in your LangX account, earned in the app and spent in the app.
Does LangX Token have a price?
No. It has no price and no cash value, because there is nowhere to buy or sell it. A coin with a similar name on a price-tracking site is not LangX Token.
Can I buy, sell or withdraw tokens?
No. Tokens cannot be bought with money or anything else, sent to another member, or taken out of the app. They cannot unlock Pro either — that is a subscription.
How many tokens can I earn in a day?
Messages pay up to 200 a day, Echo up to 25, and a share of the daily pool up to 250. Corrections, pronunciation answers and new conversations have no daily cap. A very active day comes to about 700 tokens.
What happened to my tokens from the old LangX app?
They carried over, divided by 100, and you get a welcome-back bonus of 250 on top. Sign in with the same email address you used before.
Does spending tokens lower my leaderboard rank?
No. The leaderboards rank tokens earned, not tokens held. Spending lowers your balance, never your all-time total.
